This is my tribute to Saturday morning children’s show Saturday SuperStore which ran from 1982-1987 and was broadcast live on BBC 1. The music is the full version of the Saturday SuperStore theme called Down At The SuperStore performed by The Assistants.

The March Violets performing ‘Turn To The Sky’ on the 80s BBC kids’ TV show Saturday Superstore.

Unfortunately, the audio/video sync is a little out on this clip, but the audio is from the 7″ single anyway, because they were miming, so use your imagination…

This particular ‘outside broadcast’ segment of the show was filmed in Blackpool.

The song was also featured on the soundtrack to the John Hughes film ‘Some Kind Of Wonderful’.
